Sex RX

Feeling a little ill? You may be one orgasm away from a cure. Scientific studies have proven that frequent orgasms are linked to curing cancer, headaches, insomnia, and depression. This is most likely due to the stress relieving after effects of sexual release. So, if sex is a drug does that mean its possible to OD? According to a study conducted by Wilkes University, couples who have sex at least twice per week have  30 percent more immunity boosting antibodies. Other sudies have shown that an excess of endorphins, which can be triggered during orgasm, may lead to medical illnesses such as depression. I've yet to meet anyone who becomes depressed after a big O. If not for the  immunity boosting effect at least do it for the cardio.

VIX of the week: D'Angelo

The artist discusses his escape from fame, the shame of  being a sex symbol, and the holy ghost with GQ.

You know what they say about Lucifer, right, before he was cast out?" D'Angelo asks me now. "Every angel has their specialty, and his was praise. They say that he could play every instrument with one finger and that the music was just awesome. And he was exceptionally beautiful, Lucifer—as an angel, he was. -D'Angelo

Fashion Fetish

In a selection of fashion films and multi-media performances curated by women working in the fashion  industry SHOWstudio's "Fashion Fetish" explores the dichotomy of fashion and fetishism. Dollywood by Liberty Ross and Polly Borland explores ideas of fetishism as they relate to dressing, bondage, and child's play.

Our film is a fusion of and continuation of my new body of work and the artistic and emotional preoccupations of liberty. - Polly Borland

To me the act of dressing up, tying up, and fetishism has its primal urges in childhood. - Liberty Ross
